I have been home for a week (UNI finally got a full week break) with the intention of completing one of my reasearch papers. I have been alone for most of the week seeing that the family is in Tulsa, yet I have accomplished little. It is amazing how easily you can distract yourself with TV, YouTube, Facebook, and even blogs. I will however get something done today since time is running out.
I spent Thanksgiving with my roomate at his family in Des Moines. The food was great, and we went to see the movie Beowolf as well. That was not so great. The movie actually followed the story pretty well, but it was strangly done. It was animated, but the characters actually looked like actors who played the voice. For example, one of the kings in the movie looked like an animated Anthony Hopkins. There was also a nearly naked, but animated, Angelina Jolie. That part was really strange. Anyways, it was like watching a movie with a really good cast that wasn't quite real. I came home later that night and was greeted by our faithful dog, who had left several "presents" for me in various forms.
The rest of the week has been spent running with my old running mate Jon, attempting to study, and waiting on our old, spoiled, and lazy dog. But we still love her.
UNI football plays its first playoff game today in the dome. GO PANTHERS!
